1. Kedar Tal, Uttarakhand

Kedar Tal trek is a very beautiful take for all adventure lovers. This is a very difficult trekking destination in Uttarakhand. The total trekking trail goes through many remote areas. Here you can explore some beautiful mountains like mount Bhrigupanth, mount Thakaysagar, mount Jogini, Manda Parvath, etc. While doing the Kedartal trip you need to climb towards 16000 feet. Summer is the most prominent time to do the trek. May to June the day temperature hovers around 16 to 20 degrees. In the month of May here you will experience a heavy amount of snow. Altitude and the snow make the trek a little difficult.

2. Bhrigu Lake journey 

a beautiful tourist destination for all adventure seekers. This is a simple trip that can be covered in just 2 to 4 days. The Bhrigu lake journey lies at a height of 14,000 feet above sea level. From the highest part of the lake, you will spot a wide view of the Dhauladhar mountain, and the Pir panjal ranges. Here you will find the green meadows which look like green velvet covered with a total trekking route. The Alpine knoll begins from around 11,000 feet. People who have heart issues, asthma, and hypertension need to avoid this trek.

Best Time:

The best time for doing this bhrigu lake journey is from the center of May to the center of October. In the late spring season, the night temperature can drift around six to seven degrees and the day temperature can float around 22 to 26 degrees.

One can take government transport or private transport from Delhi or Chandigarh. Distance between Delhi to Manali by street takes 14 hours to complete. The distance between Chandigarh to Manali is 10 hours.

In Manali, the nearest rail route station is Pathankot. Bhuntar airport is the closest airport to Manali.

3. Chandratal Lake Trek- Himachal Pradesh

Chandratal lake is located in Spiti Valley. This is another very popular high-altitude trekking destination in Himachal Pradesh. The lake is located at and height of 4250 m. This is an easy high-altitude lake journey. The calmness in the surrounding will just blow your mind. The ideal time to visit Chandratal lake is from June to October. If you visit here at the beginning of the year then you can experience a lot of snow here. In the time of August snow decreases. Joginder Nagar railway station is the nearest railway head.

4. Gurudongmar, Sikkim

This is a very beautiful lake trek in Sikkim. From Gangtok, Gurudongmar lake is located at a distance of 200 km. Here you can spot the Indo-China border because Gurudongmar lake is located near the Tibet border. Here you can visit a temple named Sarv Dharm Sthal Temple. The lake is best visited in the summer. It is highly recommended that kids below 6 years old are not allowed here. The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Airport which is located 200 km from here. Darjeeling railway station and New Jalpaiguri railway station are the nearest Railway head. An 8 hours journey from Lachen will take you to Gurudongmar lake. The total experience will be amazing. 5. Roopkund, Uttarakhand

Roopkund tal is located in Chamoli district, Garhwal. This is another great trip in the Uttarakhand state. This thrilling trek will give you such a great adrenaline rush. This beautiful lake is filled with snow round the year. The trekking trail goes through the beautiful Alpine meadows. While doing the journey one can also spot the beauty of Bedni Kund. You need to carry your own tents to stay. The best time for doing this high-altitude lake journey is the period of May to October. This trek can be completed in 7 to 8 days. The lake lies at an altitude of 4900 meters. Roopkund trek begins from Lohajung pass. From Bedni Bugyal it is located at 14 kilometers.
